Special requirements
High-value goods are often sensitive. Here you find, per requirement, the details we need and how we protect your consignment.
Requirements
- Shock- and vibration-sensitive goodsWhat shock-sensitive goods need in transport: damped packaging, few handling steps, calm handling, shock indicators – and no promise of a shock-free journey.
- Temperature-sensitive goodsTemperature-sensitive devices in transport: manufacturer limits, short standing times, insulated packaging, data loggers – temperature control only after clarification.
- Orientation-sensitive goodsGoods that must not be tilted: labelling, tilt indicators, upright securing, suitable handling equipment – and noting deviations at handover.
- Moisture-sensitive goodsProtection against moisture and condensation in transport: tight packaging, desiccant, humidity indicators, closed vehicles and acclimatisation before opening.
- ESD-sensitive electronicsElectrostatic-sensitive components in transport: protection lies in closed ESD packaging that is not opened en route – labelling, packages and handover.
- Fragile goodsFragile high-value goods such as glass, ceramics, displays and optics: padding, distance to the outer wall, no stacking, visual check at handover.
- Bulky high-value goodsLarge but valuable goods: dimensions and centre of gravity, choice of vehicle, loading aids, access to the handover point – planning for bulky and sensitive at once.
- Crated goodsCrated high-value goods: crate dimensions and weight, skids for the forklift, centre-of-gravity marking, labelling – and why crates are handed over closed.
- Unpacked single itemsHigh-value devices without transport packaging: blankets and padding, fastening without pressure on sensitive parts, photos at takeover – when it works and when not.
- Multi-part systemsSystems made up of many packages: packing list, numbering, joint handover, nothing left behind – planning completeness instead of searching afterwards.
- High goods valueWith high goods value, openness and planning matter: state the value, clarify insurance, plan direct transport and named handover.
- Handover in restricted-access areasHandover in labs, cleanrooms, data centres, hospitals and plant premises: registration, ID, handover point, escort by the recipient – clarified in advance.
Frequently asked questions
How are sensitive goods protected?
Through calm handling, few handling steps – by agreement with direct transport – and suitable securing. What makes sense for your consignment is clarified together and written into the quote.
How do I state special requirements?
In the form under “What needs particular attention?” and briefly in the free text – without value lists or addresses.
Do indicator labels on the packaging help?
Yes, tilt or shock indicators make deviations visible at handover. They are attached by the shipper.
