Requirements
Transporting ESD-sensitive electronics
Electrostatic discharge can damage components without visible signs. In transport, protection mainly consists of keeping the ESD packaging closed. It is only opened in a protected area at the recipient.
What matters
- Closed packaging
- Shielding bags and conductive boxes only protect when closed; they are not opened en route.
- Labelling
- The ESD symbol on the package shows everyone involved what to pay attention to.
- Outer packaging
- Shielding bags need sturdy outer packaging against mechanical damage.
- Handover
- Unpacking takes place in the recipient's protected area, not at the dock.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Are the goods packed in shielding bags or conductive boxes?
- Is the package labelled?
- Is there sturdy outer packaging?
- Who unpacks at the recipient?
- Are there other sensitivities (moisture, shocks)?

What we do for you
What we organise
- Individual planning of your consignment – handling, date and handover aligned
- Direct transport without transhipment and documented handover by agreement
- Additional insurance on request – scope clearly agreed in the quote
Good to know
Keep ESD packaging closed until it reaches your protected area – we hand it over untouched.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state category of goods, rough route, date and special requirements – confidential details only in conversation.
- 02
Review
We check packaging and labelling and plan transport and handover.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – direct transport, handover and insurance as discussed.
- 04
Execution
Transport in closed packaging, handover to the designated person.
Questions and answers: ESD-sensitive electronics
How are electronics protected from ESD in transport?
With closed ESD packaging – shielding bags or conductive boxes – that is not opened en route.
Does Logisticoo open ESD packaging for inspection?
No. We check the outer condition of packages; opening happens only in the recipient's protected area.
Is a shielding bag enough as packaging?
No, it needs sturdy outer packaging against shocks and pressure.
