Requirements
Transporting fragile goods
Glass, ceramics, large displays, quartz and optical parts break under point impacts or pressure. What matters is padding with distance to the outer wall, a load without pressure from above and an honest visual check at handover.
What matters
- Padding and distance
- Several centimetres between goods and outer wall, filled with padding.
- No stacking
- Nothing loaded on fragile packages – labelling helps.
- Avoid point loads
- Support goods over their full surface, not on edges or corners.
- Visual check
- Note external damage immediately at handover.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- What exactly is fragile (material, dimensions)?
- How are the goods padded?
- Is the packaging labelled as fragile?
- May anything be placed on top?
- Who checks at handover?
