Requirements
Transporting moisture-sensitive goods
Moisture harms electronics, optics and bare metal surfaces. The risk is not only rain while loading but condensation: when cold goods meet warm, humid air they fog up – even inside the packaging.
What matters
- Tight packaging
- Film wrapping or barrier bags keep humidity out.
- Desiccant
- Desiccant bags absorb residual moisture; the quantity depends on volume and duration.
- Humidity indicators
- Show at handover whether humidity inside the packaging rose.
- Acclimatisation
- Open cold goods only after adjustment – the recipient decides.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How are the goods packed – tight, with desiccant?
- Are there humidity indicators?
- Is loading done in any weather – is there a covered dock?
- Do the goods need to acclimatise at destination?
- How long will the transport probably take?

What we do for you
What we organise
- Individual planning of your consignment – handling, date and handover aligned
- Direct transport without transhipment and documented handover by agreement
- Additional insurance on request – scope clearly agreed in the quote
Good to know
Tight packaging with desiccant and a covered loading point are the best protection against moisture and condensation.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state category of goods, rough route, date and special requirements – confidential details only in conversation.
- 02
Review
We check packaging and loading points and plan vehicle and process.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – direct transport, handover and insurance as discussed.
- 04
Execution
Loading as protected as possible, closed vehicle, handover with a note on acclimatisation.
Questions and answers: Moisture-sensitive goods
Where does condensation inside the packaging come from?
From cold goods meeting warm, humid air. That is why they should only be opened after adjusting.
How much desiccant does a consignment need?
That depends on volume, packaging and duration. The manufacturer or packaging service specifies the amount.
Is transport carried out in a closed vehicle?
Yes, moisture-sensitive goods travel in closed vehicles. A covered dock helps during loading.
