What a handover record contains
A handover record states who took over what, when and in what condition. For high-value goods it creates clarity for everyone involved – and is the most important basis in case of damage. What exactly it contains is agreed before the transport.
What matters
- Time and place
- Date, time and address of takeover and handover.
- Persons
- Name of the person handing over and the person taking over, with signature on request.
- Packages and condition
- Number, labelling, outer condition, status of indicators.
- Photos and notes
- Photos of the packages and notes on anything conspicuous – by agreement.
