Handover only to a named person
Some consignments should not go to “anyone at reception” but only to a specific person or role. We define in advance who takes over, how this person identifies themselves and what happens if they are not there.
What matters
- Named in advance
- The name or role of the person taking over is defined before transport – not in the request form, but in conversation.
- Confirmation at handover
- How the person identifies themselves at handover is agreed per consignment.
- Deputy
- A named deputy prevents a handover from failing.
- If nobody is there
- Whether to wait, arrange a new date or return is decided beforehand.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- To whom exactly should the handover be made – person or role?
- How should the person identify themselves at handover?
- Is there a deputy?
- What should happen if no authorised person is present?
- Should the handover be documented?
What we need from you
- Request for handover to a named person (form)
- Name/role and deputy in conversation
- Identification rule
- Procedure if absent
What we do for you
What we organise
- Individual planning of your consignment – handling, date and handover aligned
- Direct transport without transhipment and documented handover by agreement
- Additional insurance on request – scope clearly agreed in the quote
Good to know
We discuss names and contact details of the receiving persons in the next step – so they stay out of the form.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state category of goods, rough route, date and special requirements – confidential details only in conversation.
- 02
Review
We agree person, deputy, identification rule and the procedure for absence with you.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – direct transport, handover and insurance as discussed.
- 04
Execution
Handover exclusively to the named person or deputy, documented on request.
Questions and answers: Handover to a named person
How does Logisticoo make sure the right person takes over?
We agree person, deputy and an identification rule in advance. At handover this is checked and documented on request.
What happens if the named person is not there?
We decide that beforehand – for example waiting time, a new date or return transport.
Do I have to give the name in the form?
No. Just choose the option; names and contact details are discussed in the next step.
