Guides
Packing high-value goods correctly
Packaging is the most important protection for high-value goods – more important than any vehicle. The best is usually the manufacturer's. Where it is missing, a packaging service is worthwhile. We clarify what the transport requires.
What matters
- Manufacturer packaging
- Moulded inserts, transport locks and damping are matched to the device – keep and use it.
- Cases and crates
- Hard cases for compact devices, wooden crates with skids for heavy ones.
- Padding and distance
- Distance to the outer wall and full-surface support protect against shocks.
- Labelling and indicators
- Up arrows, sensitivities, shock and tilt indicators on the outside.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Is there manufacturer packaging?
- Are transport locks available?
- Is a packaging service needed?
- Which sensitivities should be labelled on the outside?
- Should indicators be attached?
