Transporting robotics components
Robot arms, cobots, grippers, control cabinets and sensors travel to the integrator, to fairs, into the plant or back to the manufacturer. They are heavy for their size, have sensitive gearboxes and must be secured in the right position.
What matters
- Transport position
- Robot arms are put into transport position and fixed by the manufacturer or integrator.
- Controller and cables
- Control cabinet, teach pendant and cable sets travel as separate packages.
- Centre of gravity
- Compact arms are top-heavy; secure the base or frame.
- Multi-part
- A system consists of many parts – list completeness in advance.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which components, and are the arms fixed in transport position?
- How many packages does the system comprise?
- How heavy is the heaviest part?
- Are pallet trucks or forklifts available at destination?
- Is it a trade fair or test delivery with return?
What we need from you
- Category “Machine and industrial components”
- Package list (in conversation)
- Handling equipment at destination
- Date
What we do for you
What we organise
- Individual planning of your consignment – handling, date and handover aligned
- Direct transport without transhipment and documented handover by agreement
- Additional insurance on request – scope clearly agreed in the quote
Good to know
Have robot arms fixed in transport position – then arm, controller and peripherals travel safely and completely to the integrator.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state category of goods, rough route, date and special requirements – confidential details only in conversation.
- 02
Review
We check securing, weights and handling equipment and plan the load.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – direct transport, handover and insurance as discussed.
- 04
Execution
Takeover of the fixed components, upright securing, handover to integrator, plant or fair.
Questions and answers: Robotics components
Does a robot arm need preparation for transport?
Yes, the manufacturer or integrator puts it into transport position and fixes it. We take it over in that state.
Does the robot controller travel with the arm?
Usually as a separate package. We hand over all listed parts together.
Can robot and controller be delivered together?
Yes. We plan arm, controller and peripherals as one consignment so your integrator can start installation at destination with everything complete.
