Transporting precision tooling
Injection, die-casting and stamping tools, gauges and fixtures are compact, heavy and often very valuable – sometimes the heart of an entire production. They travel between toolmaker, production, repair and customer.
What matters
- Weight on a small area
- Tools are dense and heavy; load securing and floor load matter.
- Corrosion protection
- Mould surfaces are preserved and covered – the shipper takes care of that.
- Lifting points
- Eye bolts and transport bridges determine how loading works.
- Ownership and documentation
- Tools often belong to the producer's customer – a documented handover helps.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which tool, what dimensions and weight?
- Are there lifting points, and how is it loaded (crane, forklift)?
- Is the tool preserved and covered?
- Who takes over at the recipient?
- Should the handover be documented?

What we do for you
What we organise
- Individual planning of your consignment – handling, date and handover aligned
- Direct transport without transhipment and documented handover by agreement
- Additional insurance on request – scope clearly agreed in the quote
Good to know
Clarify in advance who loads with crane or forklift at both ends – then we plan vehicle and securing accordingly.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state category of goods, rough route, date and special requirements – confidential details only in conversation.
- 02
Review
We check weight, loading options and securing and plan the transport.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – direct transport, handover and insurance as discussed.
- 04
Execution
Takeover, form-fit securing, handover at the designated point – documented on request.
Questions and answers: Precision tooling
How are heavy injection moulds secured?
Form-fit and lashed on a suitable load bed. We need weight and lifting points in advance.
Who loads the tool?
Usually the shipper and recipient with their own crane or forklift. How it works is clarified before the order.
Is a documented handover worthwhile for tools?
Often yes, because tools frequently belong to the producer's customer and the handover should be traceable.
